Welcome to Ecole Du Bon Berger
Ecole du Bon Berger is a unique vision of what education can be: high quality, learner-centered, and affordable for parents. A first of its kind in the Bugesera district, the school is equipped with over 50 staff members who provide its 695 pupils a high-standard education in French, English and Kinyarwanda. Ecole du Bon Berger recognizes that teachers are the most critical factor in a student’s learning journey. As a result, the school invests in thorough teacher recruitment, provides the training they need to remain at the top of their profession, as well as a highly competitive salary and other additional fringe benefits. Our pupils enjoy a modern environment adapted to their needs in which they can learn, play and make friends.
The nursery school welcomes children aged three to six years old. Each preschool teacher is supported by a classroom assistant, working together to achieve superior learning outcomes for our children. Class sizes are kept small, with an upper limit of 30 pupils.
Pupils start their school day at 8.00 a.m. and are served a snack during the morning break. Following a hot lunch, the children take a rest, followed by a variety of activities until 4.15 p.m.
The syllabus for the primary school is based on the Rwandan national education curriculum, enhanced with additional materials. The children follow a Francophone curriculum until their third year of primary school. From then on, the main language of instruction transitions progressively to be fully in English. All along their journey at EBB, our children learn the Kinyarwanda language and culture as a core subject.
The children in primary school start the day in class at 7.15 a.m and are served a snack during the morning break. After a hot lunch they continue their studies until 4.15 pm.
